pāpaṃ pi karato bhadraṃ yāva pāpaṃ na paccati |
atha payirāgate kāle pāpo pāpāni paśśati ||

Even to one doing evil, [there is] good fortune as long as evil does not ripen;
then, when the time has arrived, the evil person sees evils.
