sevamāno sevamāne saṃpuṭṭho saṃphusaṃ pare |
śaro litto kalāpe vā alitte upaliṃpati |
upalepabhayā dhīro neva pāpasakhā siyā ||

189 / Associating with one another, in contact they affect others, / as an arrow smeared [with poison] in a quiver contaminates the unsmeared. / Out of fear of contamination, the steadfast person should never be an evil person's friend.
