yathā daṇḍena gopālo gāvo rakṣati sāmināṃ |
evaṃ rakkhatha āttānaṃ khaṇo vo mā upaccagū |
khaṇātītā hi śocanti nirayamhi samappitā ||

201 Dhp315c-f / Just as a cowherd guards the cattle of his masters with a stick, / so guard yourselves: let not the favorable moment pass you by! / For those who miss the favorable moment grieve when consigned to hell.
