This is the treasury of mantras to be set forth in the maṇḍala.

[Bampo 3]

Then Vajrapāṇi questioned the Bhagavān Vairocana: "Bhagavān, how is it that / when a maṇḍala is drawn, / vighnas are pacified, / and when practicing secret mantras, / misleading guides will not be present? / How also are secret mantras accomplished? / What will their result be like?"

Having thus asked, at that time / the Bhagavān Mahāvairocana / spoke these words: / "Great being, excellent, excellent! / Whatever you have asked, / I shall explain all to you. / Because stinginess was cultivated in the past, / vighnas arise from one's own mind. / In order to destroy their cause: / where all discursive thoughts / of the mind and mental factors are abandoned, / and all proliferations arising / from conceptual thoughts cease— / that is explained as the mind of awakening (bodhicitta). / When a mantrin recollects the mind of awakening, / mentally recites Acala, / and binds his mudrā, / all vighnas will be destroyed.

Lord of Secrets, listen to this binding of the wind: / transforming oneself into A, / mentally recite HA. / Abiding in the direction of the wind, / neatly make seven marks / of perfume upon the ground, / and cover them with an earthen bowl. / Meditate on the earthen bowl / again and again as the great Mount Meru. / Above that, fully visualize A / accompanied by the bindu (anusvāra). / Such a great binding of the wind / was taught by the previous Victors. / Great being, also concerning water, / listen with a focused mind! / The mantrin should visualize the syllable RA, / all red,
