"Recite the spell three times, tie three knots in thread of two colors, yellow and white, and bind it to the neck. This great dhāraṇī spell is like a great canopy sheltering all, like a great rain moistening all, and like a bridge or boat carrying all across; of the myriad sprouts in the three realms, none fails to rely on it. Though monastics and laypeople differ, the taste they receive is one; the myriad kinds of living beings converge into the one emptiness. The reason bodhisattvas use skillful means to adapt their teaching is simply to liberate the various beings. I now speak this spell for the sake of practitioners, rescuing and delivering them so that they may swiftly attain the noble fruits of the three vehicles. I enjoin all practitioners to read and recite it diligently; truly true and not in vain, they will surely attain the path."
