澡鉢有五事：一者當用澡豆若皂莢、二者不得於淨地、三者不得向塔比丘僧若三師、四者不得跳擲棄水、五者不得以污巾拭中外。各當有常巾，手摩燥為善。急欲出會時，當著日中使燥向火。

There are five matters regarding washing the pātra: first, one must use bath powder or soapberries; second, it must not be done on clean ground; third, one must not face toward the stūpa, the bhikṣusaṅgha, or the three masters; fourth, one must not splash or throw out the water; fifth, one must not wipe the inside or outside with a soiled towel. Each person should have a regular towel, and rubbing it dry by hand is good. When urgently needing to go out to an assembly, one should place it in the sun to dry, facing the heat.
