2.15

復有五事：一者當持戒、二者當不犯戒、三者當能解經、四者當忍辱、五者當自守一切。具有是行者，乃可舉沙彌；不悉知，不應起沙彌。

There are further five matters: First, he must uphold the precepts. Second, he must not violate the precepts. Third, he must be able to explain the sūtras. Fourth, he must practice patience. Fifth, he must guard himself in all things. Only one endowed with all these practices may raise a śrāmaṇera; if one does not know them completely, one should not raise a śrāmaṇera.
