問：「犯戒比丘得度人不？」答：「犯重者，無復度人之理。若犯決斷事，同上。未滿五臘者，若犯餘輕戒法，要須懺悔然後得度。」

Question: "May a bhikṣu who has broken the precepts ordain someone?" Answer: "For one who has committed a grave offence, there is no principle permitting him to ordain people again. If he has committed a matter of defiance of admonition, it is the same as above. For one who has not completed five seniority years, if he has committed other minor offences against the rules of precepts, he must undergo confession, and only then may he ordain someone."
