1.97

問：「不結坐、或不受七日，已受臘，得不？」答：「不知法，已受，得臘、不得夏。若以夏，僧一諫取好。過三諫不取，犯戾語決斷懺。還取得，當取時白眾然可得。」

Question: "If one did not establish the retreat, or did not receive the seven days, but has already received monastic seniority, is it valid?" Answer: "Not knowing the rule, having already received it, one obtains monastic seniority, but does not obtain the summer retreat. If taking it as a summer retreat, it is good if the saṃgha admonishes once and one withdraws it. If after three admonitions one does not withdraw it, it constitutes a saṃghāvaśeṣa of obstinacy, which requires repentance. Upon returning, obtaining it is valid; when about to take it, announce it to the saṃgha, and only then may it be obtained."
