1.98

問：「比丘不受歲，犯何事？」答：「若一比丘不受歲，眾諫使受。一諫至三受好，若過三不受犯決斷，過四不受非沙門，以不肯受法故。」

[Maudgalyāyana] asked, "If a bhikṣu does not observe pravāraṇā, what offense does he commit?"
[The Bhagavat] answered, "If a bhikṣu does not observe pravāraṇā, the saṃgha should admonish him to observe it. It is well if he observes it upon one to three admonitions. If he does not observe it after three [admonitions], he commits a saṃghāvaśeṣa. If he does not observe it after four, he is not a śramaṇa, because he refuses to accept the Dharma."
