爾時座中有八千菩薩各從座起，一金剛華菩薩白佛言：「世尊！未來世中說經菩薩法輪下，其聽法者受化奉行法用，復當云何？」

Then in the assembly there were eight thousand bodhisattvas who each rose from their seats; one, Vajrapuṣpa Bodhisattva, addressed the Buddha, saying: "World-Honoured One! In future ages, beneath the Dharma wheel of a bodhisattva expounding the sūtra, what should be the rules of Dharma for those who listen to the Dharma, receive conversion, and practice?"
