「爾時，其王生一太子，字須闍（鄉本闡，下皆同）提，聰明慈仁，好喜布施。須闍提太子者，身黃金色，七處平滿，人相具足。年始七歲，其父愛念，心不暫捨。

"At that time, that king had a prince born to him named Sujāti, who was intelligent, compassionate, and benevolent, and took pleasure in giving. Prince Sujāti had a golden-colored body, seven parts that were even and full, and was fully endowed with the marks of an extraordinary person. When he was just seven years of age, his father loved and cared for him, his mind never letting go of him for even an instant.
