「爾時，王及夫人得到隣國。時，彼國王遠出奉迎，供給所須，稱意與之。爾時，大王向彼國王說上事因緣，如吾子身肉孝養父母，其事如是。時，彼隣國王聞是語已，感須闍提太子難捨能捨，身體肉血供養父母，孝養如是。感其慈孝故，即合四兵，還與彼王伐羅睺羅。

"At that time, the king and queen succeeded in reaching the neighboring state. At that time, the king of that state went out far to welcome them, supplied whatever was needed, and granted everything according to their wishes. Then the great king explained to that king the causes and conditions of the previous events, of how his son's flesh had shown filial piety toward his parents, the matter being as it was. At that time, hearing these words, the king of the neighboring state was deeply moved by Crown Prince Sujāti being able to give up what is difficult to give up, offering his body's flesh and blood to his parents with such filial devotion. Moved by his compassion and filial piety, he immediately assembled the fourfold army and returned with that king to launch an expedition against Rāhula."
