『爾時，大施主聞是語已，飲氣歎息，報眾人言：「汝等今者，更莫共相食噉肉也。若有所須，衣服飲食，種種湯藥，所須之物。却後一七，汝等大眾皆集我家，我當隨汝所須，衣被、飲食、病瘦湯藥，稱意給與。」眾人聞已，心生歡喜，歎言：「善哉！善哉！未曾有也。」

"'At that time, having heard these words, the great donor gasped and sighed, and told the people: "From now on, do not eat one another's flesh any longer. If you have need of clothing, food, drink, various medicines, or anything else you require, after seven days, all of you multitude gather at my house, and I shall provide according to your needs—clothing, bedding, food and drink, and medicines for the sick and emaciated—giving them to your satisfaction." Hearing this, the people were filled with joy and praised him, saying: "Excellent! Excellent! Such a thing has never been seen before!"
