3.33

「爾時鹿女為得火故，隨教而去。其女去後未久之間，波羅奈王將諸大臣，百千萬眾，前後圍遶，千乘萬騎，入山遊獵，馳逐群鹿。波羅奈王獨乘名象，往到北窟仙人所，見其蓮華遶窟行列。爾時大王心生歡喜，歎言：『善哉！善哉！大德神仙！大仙導師！福德巍巍，其事如是！』

"Then the deer-girl, for the sake of obtaining fire, went according to his instruction. Not long after the girl had gone, the King of Vārāṇasī, leading ministers and hundreds of thousands of followers surrounding him before and behind, with thousands of chariots and myriads of cavalry, entered the mountain to hunt, pursuing herds of deer. The King of Vārāṇasī, riding alone upon a famous elephant, went to the northern cave where the ṛṣi was, and saw the ranks and rows of lotus flowers circumambulating the cave. At that time the great king felt joy in his heart, and exclaimed in praise: 'Excellent! Excellent! O virtuous ṛṣi! O great ṛṣi guide! How towering is your merit that such a thing occurs!'
