4.31

「爾時善友太子坐在道中。爾時牛群垂逼踐踏，中有牛王，即以四足騎太子上，令諸牛群皆悉過盡，然後移足，右旋宛轉，反顧迴頭，吐舌舐太子兩目，拔出竹刺。

"At that time, Prince Kalyāṇamitra sat in the middle of the road. Just then, the herd of cattle drew near, on the verge of trampling him. Among them was a bull-king, which straddled the prince on its four feet, allowing the entire herd of cattle to pass completely. Then, shifting its feet, circling to the right, and looking back, it stuck out its tongue, licked the prince's two eyes, and pulled out the bamboo thorns.
