釋摩訶衍論 4.59

4.59

譬如海水變，種種波浪轉，
七識亦如是，心俱和合生，
謂彼藏識處，種種諸識轉，
謂以彼意識，思惟諸相義。

Just as the ocean water transforms,
And various waves roll,
So too are the seven consciousnesses:
Arising in union with the mind,
That is, based upon that storehouse consciousness,
Various consciousnesses roll,
That is, through that mental consciousness,
Reflecting on the meanings of various marks.
