Furthermore, the wisdom of equality has five kinds of conditions of equality: First is equality regarding coarse evils, meaning that after entering the first bhūmi, a woman's body, an eighth existence, and the three evil destinies are all abandoned, and so they are entirely equal. Second is equality regarding the selflessness of phenomena, meaning the attainment of the equal principle of the two emptinesses. Third is equality associated with cessation, meaning that the nature of cessation is precisely the analytical cessation that is attained; because it is associated with cessation, it is called equality associated with cessation. Fourth is equality associated with a mind without expectation, meaning that before the path of seeing, when learning to contemplate tathatā, there is desire and expectation; after entering the first bhūmi, one realizes the true dharmadhātu, which is associated with the equality realized by a mind without expectation. Fifth is equality of the path realized by all bodhisattvas, meaning that just as the differing flows of a hundred rivers converge together into the calm expanse of the great ocean, so although the myriad practices differ, once they enter the first bhūmi, they together realize the true great ocean. Because they attain this equality, they are able to become a large body.
