凡聖如者。由心分別則見聖見凡，心既不生誰凡誰聖？相本目盡故言如也。斯則因果一對。

"Ordinary beings and nobles are as such": because through mental discrimination one sees nobles and ordinary beings; since the mind does not arise, who is ordinary and who is noble? Marks are originally and utterly exhausted, hence it is said to be "as such." This constitutes the pair of cause and effect.
