3.180

根未熟者。十信菩薩也。以此位人六度亂修、心如輕毛，故云懼其退失。以信根未成，遇緣恐退，故須付囑智者令其教化，使不退也。

"Those whose faculties are not yet mature": bodhisattvas of the ten faiths. Because practitioners of this stage practice the six perfections haphazardly and their minds are like light down, it says, "fearing their falling back and loss." Because their faculties of faith are not yet established and there is fear of regression when encountering conditions, they must be entrusted to the wise so that they may teach and transform them, preventing them from falling back.
