4.334

若約四果有為出體者。即初果唯取道類智一解脫道為體，第二唯取斷欲界九品修惑中第六品一解脫道為體，三果唯取第九品一解脫道為體，羅漢唯取有頂地第九品中一解脫道盡智為體。所言無為即離繫果，有為即等流果。

If explaining the essence of the four fruits in terms of the saṃskṛta: the first fruit takes exclusively the single liberation path of category-knowledge of the path as its essence; the second takes exclusively the single liberation path of the sixth grade among the nine grades of afflictions of cultivation in the desire realm as its essence; the third fruit takes exclusively the single liberation path of the ninth grade as its essence; and the arhat takes exclusively the knowledge of exhaustion in the single liberation path of the ninth grade of the Peak of Existence as its essence. What is called asaṃskṛta is the fruit of disjunction; saṃskṛta is the fruit of uniform outflow.
