如言等者，為言說緣生本無自性，言中菩提亦同言說。何以故？有名無實故。如言於火但有火名，名言二法皆無體性，故云如言等也。

[Regarding] 'like words...' and so forth: Because words arise conditionally and fundamentally lack intrinsic nature, the bodhi within words is also the same as words. Why is this? Because there is a name without reality. Just as speaking of 'fire' has only the name 'fire', both the dharmas of name and words lack substantial nature; therefore it says 'like words...' and so forth.
