"Showing the abandonment of emotional clinging," etc., praises the latter two analogies. If one contemplates worldly phenomena as like lightning and dew, one will naturally not tie one's emotions to body, life, and wealth, conceiving notions of permanence. Furthermore, due to the first four analogies, emotional clinging is abandoned through wisdom; due to the latter two analogies, emotional clinging is abandoned through cultivating meditative concentration. In addition, the former eliminates the clinging to existence, while the latter eliminates the clinging to permanence. If one does not realize emptiness and impermanence, one attaches emotionally to body, life, and material resources. Now, having awakened to this principle of emptiness and impermanence, emotional thoughts are broken down and true wisdom appears before one. This conforms above to the sūtra's tenet and is therefore called "wonderfully," and accords below with the capacities of beings and is therefore called "skillfully."
