From "Furthermore, Jñeya" down, the seventh Dharma master. The text has three parts: 1) marking [the rank]. As for "Jñeya," it is translated here as "Mother of Wisdom." It means that in this bhūmi one is able to produce meditative absorption and wisdom, hence it is called "Mother of Wisdom." From "Cultivating the patience of accord with phenomena" down, the second clarifies the distinct practice of the bhūmi. The text has three parts: 1) marking the rank of abiding. The term "srotāpanna" borrows a Hinayana term to name the Mahayana [rank]. The "five views" are the five sharp afflictive drivers. From "Constantly with the divine eye" down, 2) giving rise to supernatural powers. Not yet fully possessing the extinction of outflows, only five are mentioned. From "In thought-moment after thought-moment" down, 3) extinguishing obstacles. It means that because this rank corresponds to the first fruit [of the śrāvaka], it eliminates the five views. Furthermore, this is also the meaning of the distinctive [teaching] entering the shared [teaching]. From "Also in seven asaṃkhyeyas" down, the third is the period of entering the rank.
