From "Furthermore, Victorious Mastery (śreṣṭhaviśiṣṭa)" below is the eighth Dharma master. The text has three parts: first, designating the rank. Deeply cultivating dhyāna-concentration, he thus obtains supernatural powers; mastering the phenomena of form and mind, he is therefore called Victorious Mastery. From "In the patience of accord with the Path" below is, second, clarifying the distinctive practices within the bhūmi. The text has three parts: first, clarifying the attainment of the contemplation of fearlessnesses. Thoroughly mastering the five characteristics is the fearlessness of sarvajñatā. "Extinguishing defilements such as doubt in the three realms" is the fearlessness of having exhausted all outflows. "Knowing that bhūmi by bhūmi there is that which emerges," etc., is identical to teaching the path of extinguishing suffering without discrepancy. "There is that which does not emerge," etc., is the fearlessness of teaching the impediments to the Path. "Countering doubt in the three realms" is, second, the eradication of obstacles. From "Cultivating immeasurable meritorious virtues" below is, third, the scope of entering the rank, which is also borrowing the small to name the great. From "Further accumulating practices for eight asaṃkhyeyas" below is, third, the scope of cultivation.
