From "The Buddha told King Prasenajit" onward is the second major section within the reply to the question, which encourages upholding [the sūtra]. The text has seven sections: 1. briefly raising the time and period to explain the intent of entrusting it to the king and not to others; 2. from "Great King! Where I now..." onward, indicating the places where the sūtra is to be propagated; 3. from "In those states..." onward, presenting the seven calamities; 4. from "Great King! The virtues of this prajñā..." onward, praising the power of prajñā to eliminate the seven calamities; 5. from "Great King! I now with the five eyes..." onward, raising the merits and benefits across the three periods of time; 6. from "Great King! If in future ages..." onward, explaining that for those who can practice according to the teaching, five great bodhisattvas will be dispatched as protectors, and encouraging the making of sūtras and images for offering; 7. from "Great King!
