From "Great Kings! After my parinirvāṇa" onward is the fourth: admonishing the fourfold assembly, kings, and others that they, who are the very people to maintain and support the Buddha-Dharma, will conversely destroy it themselves, causing various disasters to arise concurrently throughout the realm, all brought about by their destruction of the Dharma. In the text there are two [parts]: first, explaining the improper expounding of the sūtras; second, from "The correct teachings will decline and weaken" downward, explaining its losses and damage. The first, explaining the improper expounding of the sūtras, has three [aspects]: first, the explanation according to principle; second, from "just like the [worms within] the lion's body" downward, the simile; third, from "They will greatly destroy my Buddha-Dharma" downward, the application of the simile. In the second, on the losses and damage, the correct Dharma declines and weakens, and they encounter all manner of miseries.
