第六、所化同異者，如《佛地論》，一切如來所化有情為共、不共，論有三說。一曰，唯共，一切功德、行願同故，廣如彼說。一曰，不共，以佛所化諸有情類本相屬故，廣說如彼。如實義者，有共、不共，無始時來種性法爾更相繫屬，或多屬一，或一屬多，廣說如彼。依《成唯識》，同第三釋，如論應知。

Sixth, regarding identity and difference in those who are converted: as in the Buddhabhūmy-upadeśa, on whether the sentient beings converted by all tathāgatas are shared or unshared, the treatise has three explanations. One says they are only shared, because all qualities, practices, and vows are identical, extensively as therein explained. One says they are unshared, because the sentient beings converted by a buddha originally belong to that buddha, extensively as therein explained. As for the true meaning, they are both shared and unshared; from beginningless time, the gotra naturally pertains to one another, so that many may belong to one, or one may belong to many, extensively as therein explained. According to the Vijñaptimātratāsiddhi, it agrees with the third explanation, as should be understood from the treatise.
