1.84

此菩提義，略以三門分別，一、釋名字，二、出體性，三、諸門分別。第一釋名，梵音菩提，此翻名覺。覺有三種，謂三乘智，而今且說無上菩提，即真、俗智雙證二空，故名為覺。

This meaning of bodhi is briefly differentiated through three gates: 1. explaining the name; 2. identifying the essence; 3. various analytical gates. First, explaining the name: the Sanskrit sound is bodhi, translated here as "awakening." There are three kinds of awakening, namely the wisdoms of the three vehicles; but here we speak only of unsurpassed bodhi, which is the dual realization of the two kinds of emptiness by both real and conventional wisdoms, hence called awakening.
