「韋提希子」，此下是第六列人眾。自有三：第一列名「阿闍世王」，母韋提希，今舉母名子，故言韋提希子也。外國言阿闍世，此間譯言未怨也。第二「與眷屬若千人」者，總列眾類。第三致敬。以此類上五眾，例應各禮佛足退坐一面，經文略，故無也。辨通序竟。

'The son of Vaidehī': from this point down is the sixth, listing the human assembly. This contains three parts: first, the name 'King Ajātaśatru' is listed; his mother was Vaidehī, and naming the son by mentioning the mother, it says 'son of Vaidehī'. In foreign speech it is Ajātaśatru, which is translated here as 'not yet an enemy'. Second, 'together with his retinue of several thousand' provides a general listing of the categories of the assembly. Third, paying homage. Comparing this with the five assemblies above, by rule they should each bow at the Buddha's feet and withdraw to sit to one side, but the sūtra text is concise, and thus omits it. The explanation of the common preface is completed.
