1.58

「那提迦葉」，迦葉猶是姓也，那提者河名也。昔是外道，其人事外神，領五百徒眾住在那提河邊，值佛受道得羅漢道，猶以昔河為名也。

"Nadīkāśyapa": "Kāśyapa" is still the family name, and "Nadī" is the name of a river. Formerly he was a non-Buddhist who served external spirits and led five hundred followers, dwelling on the bank of the Nadī River. Encountering the Buddha, he received the teaching and attained the path of an arhat; he was still named after the river of his past.
