"Skilfully entering the Buddha's wisdom": the three phrases below this are the second, designated praising the mind. Furthermore, these three phrases correspond to the three wisdoms. First, "skilfully entering the Buddha's wisdom": this phrase explains the wisdom illuminating emptiness; however, although from the first ground above down to the seventh ground and below they also enter the Buddha's wisdom, they cannot yet be called 'skilful'; only on the eighth ground, once entering the Dharma stream, do they constantly illuminate the unarisen; hence it is called 'skilfully'. Second, "thoroughly penetrating great wisdom": this phrase explains the wisdom illuminating existence. Third, "reaching the other shore": this phrase then summarizes emptiness and existence; the reason they skilfully enter and thoroughly penetrate is truly because they have reached the other shore. Now, principle has shallow and deep, and wisdom becomes great and small: the seventh ground and below have not yet entered the Dharma stream, and are called 'this shore'; the eighth ground and above constantly illuminate the two truths and permanently do not emerge from contemplation, and are called 'the other shore'.
