當別教自明五味者，第九云：「眾生如牛新生，血乳未別。」聲聞緣覺如酪，菩薩之人如生、熟蘇，諸佛世尊猶如醍醐。具有超果不定（云云）。

Regarding the distinctive teaching explaining its own five flavors, Chapter 9 says: 'Sentient beings are like newborn calves, blood and milk not yet distinguished.' Śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas are like curd, bodhisattvas are like raw and ripened butter, and the Buddhas, World-Honoured Ones, are like clarified butter. Here too transcending fruits is unfixed (and so forth).
