4.118

第四、名箜篌天，有十住處：一、名楗陀羅，昔以園林，甘蔗菴羅等果林施僧故。二、名應聲，昔為邪見人說一偈法，令其心淨信佛故。三、名喜樂，昔施人美飲，或清美水，或覆泉井，不令蟲蟻入，行人飲之，無苦惱故。四、名掬水，昔見病苦者臨終，咽喉忽忽出聲，施其漿水，財物贖彼命。五、名白身，昔塗飾治補佛塔、僧舍，亦教人治補故。六、名共遊戲，昔信心持戒，同法義和合共故。七、名樂遊戲，昔持戒化眾生，令心淨信，歡喜戒施故。八、名共遊，昔法會聽法，佐助經營，深心隨喜故。九、名化生，昔見饑饉者、沒溺者，而救護之。十、名正行，昔見亡破抄掠，救令得脫，示嶮處正道。

Fourth is named Konghou (Gāndharva) Heaven, which has ten dwelling places: First is named Gandhara; in the past, they gave parks, groves, and fruit groves of sugarcane, mango, and the like to the Saṅgha. Second is named Responding Voice; in the past, they spoke a single verse of Dharma for a person of wrong view, causing their mind to have pure faith in the Buddha. Third is named Joy and Pleasure; in the past, they gave people delicious drink or clear, delicious water, or covered spring wells so that insects and ants would not enter, so that travelers drank of it without distress. Fourth is named Cupped Water; in the past, seeing a suffering patient on the verge of death with the throat gasping and making sounds, they gave syrup and water and used wealth to ransom that life. Fifth is named White Body; in the past, they plastered, decorated, and repaired stupas and monastic lodgings, and also taught others to repair them. Sixth is named Mutual Sport; in the past, with faithful minds they observed the precepts and lived together in harmony sharing the Dharma and principles. Seventh is named Delightful Sport; in the past, observing the precepts, they transformed sentient beings, causing their minds to have pure faith and to delight in precepts and giving. Eighth is named Common Roaming; in the past, attending Dharma assemblies to listen to the Dharma, they assisted in the arrangements and rejoiced with deep minds. Ninth is named Apparitional Birth; in the past, seeing those who were famished or drowning, they rescued and protected them. Tenth is named Correct Action; in the past, seeing devastation and plunder, they rescued them so that they gained escape, showing the correct path in perilous places.
