5.64

又廢教、更聞教，自有廢教不更聞教，自有不廢教更聞教，自有不廢教不更聞教。云何廢教更聞教者？如廢六度事善，更聞亡三理善。云何廢教不更聞教？如住果二乘，廢教已，入滅。云何不廢教更聞教？如逗次第學者，方等中並聞小大名者。云何不廢不更聞？未廢教而密入者。

Furthermore, there is abolishing the teaching and hearing teaching anew; abolishing the teaching and not hearing teaching anew; not abolishing the teaching and hearing teaching anew; and not abolishing the teaching and not hearing teaching anew. What is abolishing the teaching and hearing teaching anew? It is like abolishing the phenomenal goodness of the six perfections and hearing anew the principle goodness of annihilating the three [delusions]. What is abolishing the teaching and not hearing teaching anew? It is like the two vehicles abiding in the fruit who, having abolished the teaching, enter cessation. What is not abolishing the teaching and hearing teaching anew? It is like students accommodated along the sequence who hear both lesser and greater names in the Vaipulya [period]. What is not abolishing and not hearing anew? It is those who, before the teaching is abolished, enter [the real] covertly.
