6.170

又開麁顯妙者，諸經明麁眷屬，皆不見佛性。今《法華》定天性審父子，非復客作，故常不輕深得此意，知一切眾生正因不滅，不敢輕慢。於諸過去佛，現在若滅後，若有聞一句，皆得成佛道，即了因不滅；低頭舉手，皆成佛道，即緣因不滅也。一切眾生，無不具此三德，即是開麁顯妙，絕待明眷屬妙也。

Furthermore, regarding opening the crude and revealing the subtle: The various sūtras clarify the crude retinue, none of which see the Buddha-nature. Now the Lotus establishes the inherent nature and investigates father and child, who are no longer hired laborers. Therefore Sadāparibhūta deeply grasped this meaning: knowing that the primary cause of all sentient beings is indestructible, he did not dare to belittle them. In the presence of past Buddhas, present ones, or after their parinirvāṇa, if there are any who hear a single verse, they will all attain the Buddha-Path—this is the indestructibility of the revealing cause; bowing the head or raising the hand, all attain the Buddha-Path—this is the indestructibility of the conditioning cause. There are no sentient beings who do not possess these three virtues; this is opening the crude and revealing the subtle, clarifying the subtlety of the retinue by transcending all relative contrast.
