四天下人雖果報勝劣，俱有生、老、病、死，同是輕報泥犁。其中眾生，先世善根，可發關宜。聖人赴對應之，令所離得離，所求得求，獲冥、顯兩益也。

Although the humans of the four continents differ in the superiority or inferiority of their retributions, they all have birth, aging, illness, and death; they are alike in being a lighter retribution of niraya. If the sentient beings therein have wholesome roots from prior lives that can be stimulated when conditions are fitting, the sages respond accordingly, causing what should be abandoned to be abandoned and what is sought to be obtained, attaining both hidden and manifest benefits.
