7.235

譬如蓮子，雖復烏皮淤泥之中，白肉不改，一切眾生了因智慧，亦復如是。五住淤泥，生死果報，一切智願，猶在不失，是名佛界如是性，故言煩惱即菩提。又諸法不生般若生，即其義也。

For instance, like a lotus seed: though it is within the black skin and the mire, the white meat remains unchanged; the revelatory-cause wisdom of all sentient beings is also like this. Amid the mire of the five dwellings and the fruitional retribution of birth and death, the all-knowledge and vows remain present and are never lost; this is called the buddha realm's suchness of nature. Therefore it is said that the afflictions are themselves bodhi. Also, that when all dharmas are not produced, prajñā is produced—this is its meaning.
