7.86

復次，或本感麁，迹感妙；或本感妙，迹感麁；俱妙俱麁，應亦如是。又本感廣，迹感狹；或迹感廣，本感狹；俱狹俱廣，應亦如是。但取今昔判本迹，不約麁妙廣狹也（云云）。

Furthermore, either the original stimulus is crude and the trace stimulus is wonderful, or the original stimulus is wonderful and the trace stimulus is crude; both being wonderful or both being crude is also like this. Again, the original stimulus may be broad and the trace stimulus narrow, or the trace stimulus may be broad and the original stimulus narrow; both being narrow or both being broad is also like this. We merely take the present and the past to distinguish original from trace, without restricting it to crude and wonderful, broad and narrow (and so forth).
