9.101

印師云：諸法實相是一乘妙境，用境智為宗，境無三偽，故稱實相也。今謂加境而闕果，腫不益肥。光宅用一乘因果為宗，前段為因，後段為果。私謂二文各有因果，若互存互沒，則害經文。

Master Yin said: ‘The real mark of all phenomena is the wondrous object of the eka-yāna; object and wisdom are used as the central purport. Because the object is free from the three falsities, it is called the real mark.’ Now I say: adding the object while lacking the effect is like swelling that does not add real flesh. Guangzhai took the cause and effect of the eka-yāna as the central purport, the former section being the cause and the latter section being the effect. I personally say: each of the two texts has cause and effect; if one preserves one while submerging the other, it impairs the scriptural text.
