9.143

廢三顯一者，此正廢教。雖破其情，若不廢教，樹想還生，執教生惑，是故廢教。正直捨方便，但說無上道，十方佛土中，唯有一乘法，無二亦無三。

'Abolishing the three and revealing the one' specifically abolishes the teachings. Although their sentiments have been shattered, if the teachings are not abolished, notions will arise again, and grasping to the teachings will produce delusion; for this reason, the teachings are abolished. 'Uprightly renouncing expedients, only preaching the unsurpassed path'; 'In the buddha lands of the ten directions, there is only the Dharma of the eka-yāna, neither two nor three.'
