一、此經體名，前後同異者，〈序品〉云：「今佛放光明，助發實相義。」又云：「諸法實相義，已為汝等說。」〈方便品〉廣說中云：「諸佛一大事因緣，開佛知見」、「無上道」、「實相印」等。〈譬喻〉中，以「大車」譬一大乘。〈信解〉中名「付家業」。〈藥草〉中名「一切智地」、「最實事」。〈化城〉中名「實所」。〈授記〉中名「繫珠」。〈法師〉中名祕密藏。〈寶塔〉中名「平等大慧」。〈安樂行〉中名「實相」。〈壽量〉中名「非如非異」。〈神力品〉中「祕要之藏」。〈妙音〉中名「普現色身三昧」。〈觀音〉中名「普門」。〈勸發〉中名「殖眾德本」。

First, regarding the identity and difference of the names for the substance of this sūtra throughout: The 'Introductory Chapter' says: 'Now the Buddha emits a light / to help reveal the meaning of the real mark.' It also says: 'The meaning of the real mark of all dharmas / has already been preached for you.' In the extensive preaching of the 'Expedient Means Chapter' it says: 'The one great matter of causes and conditions of the Buddhas, opening the Buddha's knowledge and vision,' 'the unsurpassable path,' 'the seal of the real mark,' and so forth. In the 'Parable Chapter,' the 'great cart' illustrates the one great vehicle. In 'Faith and Understanding' it is called 'bestowing the family estate.' In 'Medicinal Herbs' it is called 'the ground of all knowledge' and 'the most real matter.' In the 'Conjured City' it is called the 'real place.' In 'Conferring Vyākaraṇa' it is called the 'tied pearl.' In the 'Dharma Master' it is called the 'secret treasury.' In the 'Precious Pagoda' it is called the 'equal great wisdom.' In 'Peaceful and Joyful Practices' it is called the 'real mark.' In the 'Lifespan Chapter' it is called 'neither as such nor different.' In the 'Supernatural Powers Chapter' it is the 'treasury of the secret essence.' In 'Gadgadasvara' it is called the 'samādhi of manifesting all physical bodies.' In 'Avalokiteśvara' it is called the 'universal gate.' In 'Encouragement' it is called 'planting the roots of all virtues.'
