9.80

三藏中若名體為實相者，此名義與此經同而體異。若不名為實相者，此名義體與此經異。唯論兩句，無有兩句。通教名實相為體者，此名義同而體異；若不作此名，則名義體俱異。若通門遠通中道者，則名義體同，名義異而體同。別教望圓經四句，如一法異名中分別（云云）。

If in the Tripiṭaka teaching the substance is named ‘the real mark,’ its name and meaning are identical to this sūtra while its substance differs. If it is not named ‘the real mark,’ its name, meaning, and substance differ from this sūtra. In it only these two propositions are discussed, and the other two propositions are absent. When the shared teaching names the real mark as substance, the name and meaning are identical while the substance differs; if it does not employ this name, then name, meaning, and substance all differ. If its shared portal reaches distantly to the Middle Way, then name, meaning, and substance are identical, or name and meaning differ while substance is identical. As for the distinctive teaching compared with the perfect sūtra, the four propositions are distinguished as in the discussion of the variant names for the one reality, and so forth.
