9.88

依諸經方法常行等行，以傍為體，體、行俱麁；以正為體，則行麁體妙。體、行俱妙，例前可知。歷五味亦可解（云云）。

When relying on methods from various sūtras such as constant walking, if they take the secondary as their substance, both substance and practice are crude; if they take the primary as their substance, the practice is crude while the substance is subtle. The case where both substance and practice are subtle can be understood by analogy with the above. Tracing through the five flavors can likewise be understood, and so forth.
