As for perfect convergence: converging all ordinary beings who grasp at dharmas, [it states,] 'You all shall become buddhas,' and 'I dare not disrespect you.' Devadatta of the five deadly sins is also given vyākaraṇa, and dragons, beasts, and the like are also given vyākaraṇa, to say nothing of the two vehicles and bodhisattvas! 'Worldly occupations and livelihoods are all not contrary to the real mark'—this converges all evil dharmas. 'What you are practicing is the bodhisattva path'—even the two vehicles of dharma-analysis are converged, how much more so the shared and distinctive! 'You are my children, and I am your father'—there are no persons or dharmas that are not converged, all being interpenetrating and wondrous; this is subsumed under the perfect gate.
