「初脩」下明取迹也。本宗如迹，故云「此」也。「但可」下歎迹，若本則非不退智知。「略舉」下總結所取本迹因果也。

From "Initially cultivating" onward clarifies adopting the traces. The origin theme is like the traces, hence it says "this". From "Can only be" onward praises the traces; if it were the origin, it could not be known by non-retrogressing wisdom. From "Briefly raising" onward summarizes the adopted causes and effects of the origin and traces.
