Part 5, "Coarse and subtle," contains two [parts]: first, judging; next, opening. The first text has two [parts]: first, setting aside the substance of absolute matchlessness; next, clarifying the coarse that is contrasted with it. The first is as in the text. The second text has two [parts]: first, the teachings; next, the flavors. In the first, regarding teachings, there are two [parts]: first, from "only the secondary" downward refers to the four teachings, which can be understood. Next, from "the Tripiṭaka and Shared" downward, it judges further. The two teachings are unreservedly coarse, provisionally according with the near Shared [Teaching]; the Separate has both coarse and subtle. Saying that the name and meaning are identical means that all three are identical; the text omits the word "substance." Next, within "opening," there are three [parts]: first, generally indicating the intention; next, from "or opening the secondary teaching" downward, directly discussing opening in terms of teachings and so forth; third, from "all" downward, concluding. The first is as in the text. The second text has two [parts]: first, concurrently opening the teachings and so forth; next, directly opening the substance. This also has three [parts]: first, directly opening; next, citing verifications; third, demonstrating the method of opening.
