2.86

次約生起中「以心觀心」名也。「境」體也。「觀契」因也。「得脫」果也。此因果宗也。令餘亦脫，用也。「分別王數是教相」者，心既是妙，王數亦妙，妙而分別，故屬教相。

Next, regarding sequence of arising: "contemplating the mind with the mind" is the name. "The realm" is the substance. "Contemplation tallying" is the cause. "Attaining liberation" is the effect. This cause and effect is the central theme. Causing others to be liberated as well is the function. "Distinguishing the king [of the mind] and factors is the characteristics of the teaching": since the mind is wonderful, the king and factors are also wonderful; being wonderful yet distinguished, it therefore belongs to the characteristics of the teaching.
