觀解者，初學中觀入相似觀，既未發真，慚第一義天、愧諸聖人，即是有羞僧；觀慧若發即真實僧。若異此者，即前兩僧：不依觀行名破戒僧，不解觀相名愚癡僧。舉類義竟。

Regarding contemplation and understanding: when a beginner learns the contemplation of the middle and enters the resembling contemplation, since true realization has not yet arisen, feeling ashamed before the heaven of paramārtha-satya and conscience-stricken before the noble ones, this is the ashamed saṃgha; if contemplative wisdom arises, it is the true saṃgha. If it is different from this, it is the former two saṃghas: not relying on contemplative practice is called the precept-breaking saṃgha, and not understanding the characteristics of contemplation is called the foolish saṃgha.
