1.16

言「由述」者，瑞疑由也，問答述也。文中不以疑念對由述者，亦可兩兼，謂發語宣疑亦可云述；集眾亦可以為遠由，疎故且置。

Regarding "reasons and narration": the auspicious signs and doubts are the reasons; the questions and answers are the narration. In the text, the reason doubts and thoughts are not matched against reasons and narration is that they can also span both: giving voice to proclaim doubt can also be called narration; gathering the assembly can also be considered a remote reason, but being distant, it is temporarily set aside.
